Limassol Municipal Arts Center – Papadakis Warehouses

‘with pek pek’ is a work that combines the methodologies of a participatory performance / moving image and live performance.

The artist was initially inspired by the sounds produced by birds in dawn and created a work with meditative characteristics about our relationship with voice, light and intimacy.

The performance is divided in three parts: a) song, b) poetry and c) manual of instructions.

Korallia invites her audience to pay attention to the uniqueness of the voice and breathing, through the production of unfamiliar sounds that correspond to another ‘language’, the one of birds.  Through this process the artist translates the vibrations of human touch and attempts to guide us in alternative ways of understandance and embodiment of the similarities we have between us (as humans) but also with animals.
