Walking Into it is a solo walking performance on stories of grief in motion. The performer moves in a fluid and variable state, looking on how grief can be articulated, calmed and transformed into action in the public space. She stands upright as a gesture of resilience and survival in times of mourning. An experience so private and personal, yet so mundane to people. A sharing that offers no quick healing, but in need of your presence. Passing by the streets of the former Turkish Cypriot quarter and ending up on the pedestrian street of the dry Garyllis River, the performance observes how losses (visible and invisible) define our identities.

*The work was first presented at the Summer Dance Festival by Nea Kinisi as Let Unfold. It was developed into Walking Into It as part of the residency programme Moving the New of Dance House Lemesos.
