Project: Let Unfold Dialogue partner: Arianna Marcoulides This solo performance is about grief. This solo follows a culture with sustained grief. This is not a proposal on quick healing. Grief is a personal matter. This matter brings me melancholy. This solo is being danced by my melancholy. My melancholy fades as I dance. Let Unfold is set in the public space and approaches grief as a variable and fluid state, observing how we allow the body to remember and express itself. In the frame of this residency program, I explore how we shift from paralysis to action. How does physical storytelling keep us standing strong in the face of violent systems and landscapes, in isolating societies that suffer and deny their grief?
