Konstantina Skalionta is a dance artist who lives and works in Lemesos since 2020. She studied in London at the Central School of Ballet (BA (Hons) in Professional Dance and Performance, 2011) and the London Contemporary Dance School (Master of Arts in Contemporary Dance, 2018). Her choreographic practice and research explores the notion of body as landscape and vice versa, as well as the different narratives that emerge between materials and bodies. Works such as: Somewhere out of Nowhere (2024) We were promised a castle (2023), 8 days outside the promised castle (2022), Οnce There Was A Forest I & II (2020 & 2021), #NoFilterNeeded (2019), Land(e)scape (2018), Be My Home (2016), Ιn the Likeness of..(2015), Beauty-fool (2014), have been presented as independent productions, platforms, festivals or exhibitions in Cyprus, the UK and Italy. Since 2021, she has been a member of the administrative board of Nea Kinisis Dance Groups, Dancers and Choreographers of Cyprus. She participated in Moving the New: Αrtistic Residency Programme in 2023.
