Within her research framework titled Vibrant Matter, Belinda explored how objects and materials can inform choreographic situations. Belinda's practice is based on playing and experimenting with objects as collaborators that direct, shape and influence the choreography. Questioning the place of the body amongst things, the work 'we are an event' is a reaction to issues of domesticity, femininity, representation and commodification and a reclaiming of absurdity and joy.
