The temporary art intervention Light Points focused on a walking route with stops at selected historical sites of cultural heritage around the area of the Polychoros Synergeio.
Forgotten stories and their significance at these specific locations were “illuminated” and brought to light. These sites, which surround us yet are often overlooked, were chosen to form a continuous route. Through artistic interventions, the spaces told their stories and connected with one another as well as with the audience.
The selection of sites of historical and cultural significance in the area was based on research by architect and cultural heritage researcher Sevina Floridou. Visual artist Julia Georgiadou and lighting designer Vasilis Petinaris created a unique artistic lighting design for each location, transforming the public space into a new medium for reimagining and experiencing art.
As part of Open House, Light Points is enriched with choreographic interventions by Elisavet Panagiotou, Zoe Eleftheriou, and Giannis Economides.
